How to Check the KJSEA Exam Results
Grade nine students who took the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) exams can now get their results via a Short Message Service.
On Thursday, December 4, teachers, parents, and students were directed to access the results by emailing the students’ assessment numbers to 22263 for a fee of Ksh30.
After sending the SMS, the individual will have access to the full KJSEA results, including the learner’s choice of schools depending on their career path.
“To check a KJSEA learner’s selected schools, send their assessment number to 22263. The SMS costs Ksh30,” read a notice from Kenya’s leading telecommunications company.

The examinations, which took place between October 27 and November 3, 2025, were intended to assess a student’s readiness to advance to senior secondary school.
Meanwhile, the warning comes after Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok announced two weeks ago that the exam results would be issued in early December this year.
Bitok told the press on November 17 that the results of the national examinations would be disclosed before or on December 11.
He stated that the Ministry of Education was prepared to handle the transfer of the more than one million students who took the exams.

While the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has yet to publicly announce the release of the examination results, student placement is expected to occur within a week of the results being released.
According to the Ministry of Education, once all the results are released, students will be able to access their letters before December 25 and report to their new institutions by January 12, 2026.
The latest announcement comes a day after KNEC urged members of the public to remain vigilant and beware of fraudsters purporting to be able to alter a candidate’s score in both KJSEA and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Beware of fraudsters purporting to be able to alter candidates’ scores during marking of the KCSE examination or KJSEA. Please note that all candidates’ answer scripts are anonymised to protect their identity and ensure integrity during marking.

In a statement on Wednesday, December 3, KNEC said it had received reports that individuals posting as ‘insiders’ promised to change the results of candidates in exchange for money.
