KUCCPS Publishes List of Marketable Courses For Grade C or Lower Students
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has published a list of marketable courses for students who obtained grades C, D, or D- on the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
KUCCPS released a list of 27 market-driven courses available primarily at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools around the country.
The courses are offered at the certificate, diploma, and artisan levels, with the goal of reaching out to students who may not have met university entry standards but are ready to pursue a higher education.
According to KUCCPS, the move is part of the government’s larger effort to strengthen TVET institutions as a route to official employment and self-employment.

Entry Requirements
According to KUCCPS, students who want to study the aforementioned diploma courses must have a minimum grade of C-.
A learner must have at least a Grade D in KCSE to enroll in certificate courses, and a D- in artisanal courses.
The most recent update comes barely a month after the Ministry of Education revealed the 2025 KCSE examination results, which showed 270,715 candidates scoring Grade C+ or higher.
507,131 candidates received a C-, with 634,082 receiving a D+ or higher.
