“Judge Leaders Based On Their Work, Not Tribe!” – Ruto Tells Kenyans
President William Ruto has advised Kenyans to choose leaders based on their development record rather than ethnic, religious, or personal preferences.
Ruto urged voters to prioritize performance and service delivery while making leadership decisions.
“Wacha niwaulize, wakati mnachagua viongozi mnachagua kwa sababu ya sura ama kazi? Ni kazi ama kabila ya mtu? Ni kazi ama dini ya mtu? Si ni kazi?” Ruto posed.
“Mimi nitakuja hapa na kazi yangu, ya affordable housing, ya markets, ya barabara na ya kusafisha city, na nyinyi mtaamua,” he told the crowd.
The President listed the Affordable Housing Program, modern market building, road extension, and urban regeneration projects as major initiatives being implemented by his administration to improve livelihoods and create jobs.
The president spoke after officially opening the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Pipeline in Embakasi, Nairobi County.
He also used the occasion to criticize his political opponents, warning them to brace themselves for a harsh fight.
“Ndiyo maana nawaambia wale tunashindana nao wajipange. Hii siasa tunaelewa,” he said.
At the same time, the Head of State dismissed efforts to revitalize the Azimio la Umoja coalition.

He contended that the organization lacks political clout without the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), which has recently forged its own political course.
“Now I hear they are reviving Azimio. We will beat Azimio so early in the morning the way we did in 2022,” he said. “Isn’t Azimio without ODM dead on arrival?” he posed.
The comments come amid renewed political realignments and early posturing by rival groups ahead of the next general election, with both government and opposition leaders attempting to cement their support bases.
The Embakasi festival attracted thousands of people and local authorities, including Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
