‘No Dialogue On Children’s Blood!’ – Kalonzo Tells Ruto’s Gov’t
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has pledged that he will not forsake the opposition, despite constant pressure to merge with the Kenya Kwanza administration.
For months, Kalonzo has battled repeated attempts by close friends of President William Ruto to persuade him to join the cabinet.
In a statement released on Saturday, July 19, the experienced lawmaker emphasized his unflinching commitment to holding the administration accountable.
Kalonzo, who has regularly criticized Ruto’s administration for unfulfilled promises, vowed to continue advocating for peace and preserving Kenyans’ rights.
“I will never join this rogue and criminal regime, and I refuse to participate in any type of dialogue with a regime that has our children’s blood on its hands,” Kalonzo said.

“Make no mistake: the Ruto dictatorship is not interested in peace. It feeds on fear, violence, and intimidation,” he added.
“That is their modus operandi. But we shall not remain silent nor be silenced. The spirit of resistance is alive.”

On Tuesday, June 17, Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua urged Kalonzo to leave the opposition, led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, citing its “divisive and disrespectful” political tactics.
“Even if Kalonzo is humble and fears Gachagua, he should be talking to him and telling him what is right and wrong, because the disrespect Gachagua is showing us now, he used it to claim that we cannot give enough votes,” Mutua said.
Speaking in Kitui on June 9, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula emphasized that Kalonzo should not let anyone dictate his political course.
“To my brother Kalonzo, don’t allow anybody to make friends or create enemies for you. Your friends are not necessarily someone’s friends, and your enemies are not someone’s enemies,” Wetangula said.
