The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has implemented a new program in all public schools statewide.
On Saturday, August 2, Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the return of 4K Clubs in all public primary schools in the country.
He made the statement while officiating at the relaunch of the restored clubs at Kihate Primary School in Nyeri.
According to Kagwe, the initiative’s goal is to teach the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs through practical, school-based learning.
According to his announcement, the rebranding clubs are being implemented in all 31,218 public primary schools across the country.
Kagwe stated that the government has already sent 1,222 trainers throughout 36 counties to promote this project.
He also mentioned that 245 schools have acquired contemporary farming equipment such as greenhouses, irrigation kits, and incubators to help pupils gain practical experience.

The 4K Club program was initially implemented in Kenya by the government in 1962, and it was included in the school system for many years.
The term 4K is an acronym for ‘Kuungana‘, ‘Kufanya‘, and ‘Kusaidia Kenya‘, which means ‘To Unite, Act, and Help Kenya.
This program was designed to teach youngsters about farming, animal husbandry, and the value of hard labor.
Kagwe urged Kenyans to return to their former schools, reestablish the 4K Clubs, and help the current generation of students.
