Dagoretti High School Fight Leaves 11 Foreign Students Injured As Police Respond
On Sunday night, eleven students were rushed to the hospital after being injured during a fight at Nairobi’s Dagoretti High School.
The dispute prompted the Nairobi Police Service’s leadership to dispatch officers to address the situation after reports surfaced that it had turned religious, with two groups emerging as bitterly opposed to one another.
The conflict between the two groups began with a simple disagreement over a basketball game between Form Ones and Form Fours at the school.
After the disagreement escalated, Kenyan students clashed with their Sudanese counterparts.
According to viral video footage posted online, the students were seen using sticks and stones to target each other in the middle of the fiasco.

This comes in the wake of recent student unrest across the country, with more dormitory facilities reportedly catching fire, casting doubt on authorities’ ability to determine the cause of incidents.
The incident could potentially halt learning at the school as management attempts to calm the situation.
