KTN’s Ken Mijungu Bans MP Farah Maalim From His Show After Treasonous Remarks
On Tuesday, July 9, KTN journalist Ken Mijungu announced that Farah Maalim, a Daadab Member of Parliament, had been banned from his show.
This came after a video surfaced of the parliamentarian allegedly telling President William Ruto to crack down on Generation Z protestors.
The translated clip showed Farah Maalim declaring that if he were Kenya’s President, he would never allow Gen Z to protest the Finance Bill.
It is sad to hear Farah Maalim saying, "If I was the Kenyan President, I would have slaughtered 5000 Gen Zs daily."

The video in question shows the lawmaker making remarks that border on incitement and advising President William Ruto to take an extremist stance on the ongoing protests.
A member of Parliament is on camera saying if he was the president the day demonstrators breached parliament he would have killed 5000 of them! A LAWMAKER said this! A SEASONED Legislator. As a patriotic Kenyan I will never host him on my show again! Never.

“A lawmaker said this! A seasoned legislator. As a patriotic Kenyan, I will never host him on my show again! Never,” posted Mijungu.
Maalim defended himself after the video in question went viral, stating that the video was digitally manipulated to describe the entire situation as a political witch-hunt.
“The video making the rounds has been edited. It’s all cutting and pasting, taking a word from here and putting it together,” he defended himself.
According to Farah Maalim, the people who edited the clip were most likely from Somalia.
“It is Somalis who basically would do that, for other reasons, because I also weighed in on the politics of Somalia,” the Wiper Party elected legislator claimed.
The parliamentarian did not deny stating that Gen Z was attempting a coup against a democratically elected government.
Despite the clarification, Ken Mijungu maintained that he would never invite the legislator as a guest to KTN studios.
However, it should be noted that this is Ken Mijungu’s personal preference and Standard Group, KTN’s parent company, retains the right to invite the legislator to interviews and talk shows.
