This Is A Trap – Martha Karua Warns Gen Z On Calls For Dialogue By Politicians
NARC-Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua dismissed recent calls for a national dialogue to defuse current political tensions on Tuesday, calling the proposal a trap.
Karua continued her onslaught on official social media platforms, claiming that the government wants to divert public attention and deflate Kenyans’ recent resistance momentum.
“Dialogue can only be meaningful if the players have good faith and are guided by the best interests of the people. This is a trap period.”

The NARC-Kenya leader claimed that the genuine call to hold the government accountable had been hijacked by “a handful of elites.”
Karua rallied her support for Generation Z, who had taken to the streets to protest proposed taxes, and urged her fellow politicians to be mindful of whatever decisions they make.
She insisted that such decisions be made with Kenyans’ best interests in mind.
Let’s be careful as the political class lest we hijack the genuine clamour for accountability and reforms by the GenZ

“Let’s be careful as the political class lest we hijack the genuine clamor for accountability and reforms by the GenZ.”
“I agree with those who say Action Now on the clear and attainable demands of the GenZ to enhance accountability and make the state work for the masses rather than for a handful of elites,” she added.
This, however, contradicts Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s call for dialogue.
On Tuesday, Raila reminded Kenyans of the problems they face and announced the formation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO).
“We agreed when we said together with my brother William Ruto that we will follow the route of dialogue, that is why NADCO was set up,” Raila stated on Tuesday.
Raila acknowledged Kenyans’ dissatisfaction with government corruption and waste and urged the national government, state officers, and leaders to hold an all-inclusive robust engagement and discussion to hear the plight of Kenyans facing difficult economic times.
Raila’s call for constructive dialogue was echoed by his co-principal, Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kalonzo spoke at the same function where President William Ruto signed the Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission Bill, which seeks to ensure the electoral body is fully constituted as advocated by Kenyans across the board.
