Veteran Royal Media Presenter And Political Commentator Is Dead
Prof Ngugi Njoroge, a veteran radio presenter and political commentator, passed away on Monday morning.
Prof Ngugi Njoroge, a well-known figure, hosted the late-night show ‘Keera’ at Inooro FM, which is owned by Royal Media Services.
According to reports from his colleagues at the station and the media, the professor died at his home before dawn.
However, they did not reveal the veteran scholar and journalist’s cause of death.

“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the death of our very own colleague and friend, Prof Ngugi Njoroge who passed away before dawn today,” stated his colleague.
While praising the professor, the station and other leaders emphasized that he was a diligent worker and a respected thought leader.

“Heartfelt condolences to Professor Njoroge’s family, colleagues at the Royal Media Services and Inooro TV, friends and relatives for this big loss,” Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua eulogized the media personality in a post.
Furthermore, the Deputy President expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to be hosted on the presenter’s show, stating that he enjoyed the quality of the discussions.
“I had the privilege of being hosted by Prof Njoroge on this informative show; we enjoyed quality discussions, as was his characteristic. Indeed, he redefined the role of the media in driving development,” stated Gachagua.
Isaac Mwaura, the government spokesperson, mourned the professor as a knowledgeable local historian.
His death follows a string of losses for the media fraternity in recent weeks.
Mercy Mawia, a vernacular radio presenter, died on July 23 while being treated at a hospital in Nairobi.
In a separate incident, two Thome FM radio presenters died on Saturday as a result of a fatal road accident on the Sagana-Makutano highway.
