Atleast 20 KDF Officers Injured in Kirinyaga Accident
Nearly 20 army officers were seriously injured when a truck carrying them lost control at Gatithi near Kibongoti trading center on the Sagana-Karatina road in Kirinyaga County.
According to Kirinyaga West Sub-county Police Commander Moses Koskei, the truck was on its way to Nairobi from Karatina when the accident occurred.
He said the area was too foggy, and the truck driver may have missed a bump near Kibingoti, causing the army truck to lose control and roll.
He stated that additional investigations are being conducted to determine the cause of the accident and the actual number of injured persons.
