According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the investigation has narrowed down to the possibility of an electrical fault.
According to reports, the detectives also questioned the technician responsible for installing the school’s electric circuit.
Meanwhile, DCI officers have lined up several people to question about the school’s fire incident.
Among those expected to be interrogated are the school’s headteacher, the matron, the teacher on duty, and other key witnesses, including the tragedy survivors.
The move comes a day after the government announced the commencement of the postmortem on the bodies recovered from the scene of the tragedy.
In a statement, Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura revealed that the decision was made after the bodies were recovered.
Mwaura also stated that the government had accounted for all 330 students who were at the school during the Thursday night incident.
“The government once again extends its most heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and relatives of all those who are affected,” Mr. Mwaura said.
