Morara Kebaso Announces Inject Party Joining The Opposition Coalition

Political activist Kebaso Morara has announced that his newly registered political party, Injection of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT), has joined the opposition coalition.

Morara said in a statement on Wednesday morning that as young people, their job will be to give answers rather than moan about how things aren’t going well in the country.

He argued that this would also provide them the opportunity to guarantee that good governance norms are followed and upheld.

“INJECT Party has joined the opposition coalition. Our job is not to complain about this or that & him or her. Our mission is to offer solutions,” he said.

“To ensure that the values and principles of good governance are held in high esteem. We want justice and opportunities for the youth to live, work and grow.”

Morara went on to say that Gen Z, who make up the majority of his party, are now the opposition.

He expressed confidence that they would soon form the government, and he promised to be an exemplary example of ethics.

“Gen Zs, we are the opposition now; in a short while, we will be the government,” Morara added.

“Let us walk into the room with confidence and change how things are done from the inside. As your leader, I commit to be an outstanding icon of integrity.”

This comes just days after Morara was spotted conversing and attending events held by opposition figures.

He began by attending the relaunch of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), previously Narc Kenya.

He would then have a private discussion with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

On Tuesday, he was among a group of opposition lawmakers who gathered to discuss the building of a united front to oppose President William Ruto in 2027.

They included Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Rigathi Gachagua, Eugene Wamalwa (DAP-K), Jimmy Wanjigi (Safina), and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka.

The Inject Party was created in September 2024 in response to the nationwide Gen Z anti-government protests.

It is not, however, registered with the Registrar of Political Parties.

Morara emerged from the protests as one of the most vociferous and, in some ways, the protesters’ face.
