American Murder Suspect Held in Kenya Extradited To The U.S
An American citizen arrested at Gigiri Police Station has agreed to extradition to face murder charges in the United States, ending his two-year stay in Kenya.
The defendant, who entered the country in 2022, is wanted by the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota on charges of Third-Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and many drug-related felonies.
During a recent court appearance, the accused clearly stated his objectives to the presiding magistrate.
“Yes, Your Honor, and I would like to go back as soon as possible,” he told the court.

The suspect has previously stated that he would not resist the extradition process.
His cooperation now clears the door for a quick transfer to Minnesota, where he will face trial under the district’s legal procedures.
Foreigners who commit crimes within Kenya’s borders face prosecution under the Penal Code (Cap. 63).
They may also be deported under the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act (Cap. 172) if convicted or for immigration breaches.
According to federal law, US citizens who commit crimes abroad are normally liable to the laws and courts of the country in which the offense occurred.

A United States passport does not provide immunity from foreign prosecution.
According to the United States Department of Justice, if Congress has given extraterritorial jurisdiction, American authorities may additionally prosecute under federal law in certain cases.
This includes specialized felonies such as child sex crimes abroad, murder of internationally protected individuals, and other defined crimes.
His case will be mentioned next week on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
