Kenyan Truck Driver Sentenced To SIX Years in The United States
A Kenyan-born truck driver from Texas has been sentenced to prison for slamming another tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike last year, resulting in the death of another driver in a road rage incident.
Joseph Nyandwaro, 41, was sentenced to six years in jail on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Gloucester County Superior Court after pleading guilty to second-degree vehicular homicide.
The crash happened on the northbound Turnpike in Woolwich Township on June 22, 2025.
Prosecutors said Nyandwaro collided with the other truck, driven by 40-year-old Osman Aden of Minnesota, causing it to crash into a concrete barrier and killing the driver on impact.
