OFFICIAL: Former LSK President Joins Linda Mwananchi Movement
Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo has joined Edwin Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi movement, barely months before the next general election.
On Tuesday, Odhiambo was photographed beside Linda Mwananchi’s leadership next to a campaign caravan, where she was greeted by Sifuna.
She has been an outspoken critic of government policies that she believes harm human rights and freedom of expression.
However, it is unclear whether Odhiambo’s engagement represents a formal entrée into active politics, with the latest move expected to generate controversy about her political trajectory.

“Full parade to welcome Madam President. Welcome to Lindamwananchi Faith Odhiambo,” Sifuna posted, alongside images of the team with her.
On Tuesday, Odhiambo was one of hundreds of attorneys who criticized the High Court’s decision to impeach former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
She raised questions over the court’s findings and its broader constitutional implications.
In her remarks, she argued that the ruling presents serious issues that constitutional jurisprudence must grapple with, particularly on the right to a fair hearing.

The three-judge bench had found that the Senate violated Article 50 of the Constitution by declining to grant Gachagua an adjournment when he was unable to attend the proceedings, awarding Ksh50 million in constitutional damages for the breach.
However, the court ultimately upheld the impeachment, a decision Odhiambo said raises questions on whether such a violation was severe enough to invalidate the entire removal process.
She noted that the right to a fair hearing is a substantive constitutional guarantee rather than a procedural formality.
“My concern is about the precedent this decision may establish,” Odhiambo said.
“If a constitutional violation during impeachment proceedings can be remedied by damages without disturbing the outcome, future Parliaments and Senates may not feel the full weight of their constitutional obligations when handling removal proceedings.”
