President William Ruto has restated his commitment to transforming the country before his term ends in 2027.
Speaking in Taita Taveta on Sunday, President Ruto insisted that he will not be deterred from carrying out his lofty promises to Kenyans, despite widespread criticism from his adversaries.
“I am a man on a mission I don’t have the luxury to retreat or surrender because we have to change this country,” he said.
“I sympathize with the naysayers and negative people who want Kenya to fail. Kenya will proceed forward.”
President Ruto also stated that his perseverance has paid off, adding that his administration has implemented important reforms in the two years he has been in office.

President Ruto’s leadership has recently been called into doubt on anomalies in his administration, including unchecked graft charges and unpleasant policies that seek to pierce Kenyans’ pockets through taxation.
He has remained adamant that he will turn the tables, citing reforms he made to his government, such as the formation of a broad-based cabinet after dissolving his first Cabinet.
