Ruto Lies Again After Overseeing A Political Church Contribution Despite Ban
President William Ruto pledged on Sunday to provide the funds needed to finish the AIPCA church in Ndogino, Nyandarua County, which is currently partially completed.
Ruto stated that, despite his ban on State Officers from fundraising, he would help build the church.
“There are some people who have really pushed us not to do harambees in church, we have been questioning how the church will be built,” stated Ruto.
Ruto also requested that DP Gachagua consult with church leaders and audit the accounts to determine the balance, which he would pay by writing a check to the church.

“I see that you have pushed the building of this church, the part that is yet to be completed I will cater to it,” stated Ruto.
“Gachagua organise with the Priest, account for how much it will be and I will write you a cheque,” he noted.
In his speech, the President also stated that it was up to Kenyans to decide how politicians should conduct themselves in church.
Ruto made this statement prior to the July 11 public participation for the Public Fundraising Appeals Bill.
He claimed that the electorate would determine what they thought was best for their leaders to do.
However, he did agree with the proposal to control political behavior and prevent the Church from acting as a conduit for wealth accumulated through corrupt practices.
Interestingly, this donation coincides with his decision to forbid all state officers, including those serving as officers in commissions like the Parliamentary, Judicial, and Teachers Service Commissions, from taking part in harambees.
“In that regard, and conscious of the duty to ensure that the spirit of Harambee continues to propel its noble ideals while addressing concerns on accountability and ethical conduct within the public service,” Ruto stated.
